Lights, shadows, and reflections are an essential part of every artwork. They play a pivotal role in shaping and defining a piece's mood, atmosphere, and tone. The way in which light falls on a subject, the shadows it creates, and the reflections it casts all contribute to the meaning, concept and story behind the creation of an artwork.

Let your imagination fly; as for "Lights. Shadows. Reflections.", we are looking for:

• Lights create the atmosphere, contrast and depth to set the mood. They are usually used to create an illusion of space and to guide viewers' eyes toward the focal point in an artwork.
• Shadows bring a sense of dimensionality to a piece of art since the dark side reveals the shape's form and mass. They add texture and create more depth as they emphasize the three-dimensional form of an object.
• Reflections add mood and atmosphere to art and can create either a sense of stillness or, movement and energy. In a piece of art, reflections can emphasize mystery or draw attention to a specific element in an artistic composition.

For Lights, Shadows, Reflections 2024, we are looking for artworks to display the significance of these artistic elements and to showcase the creative ways talented artists use them to convey their artistic messages.

3. Submit your artworks to the competition (a window with your listing will appear).**
4. Vote*** for the participants’ artworks (get rating points; voting opens 7 days before the end of the competition)

6. Participants of competitions will get discounts on participation in exhibitions and fairs.

** - if you participate with art curator, please tell the artworks number in your profile, the artwork will be added to the catalog of participants
*** - voting opens 7 days before the end of the competition.
**** - If your artwork violates the rules of the site or does not correspond to the competition, the artwork will be removed from the catalog of participants without explanation. Repeated violations will result in the user being blocked.
