Labyrinth - On the road to transhumanism 0 works
The exhibition was named "Labyrinth - on the road to transhumanism", because it
contains different themes that intertwine and build on each other. I can never
single out just one area that will guide me, I always work spontaneously and in
accordance with the thoughts and feelings that guide me. The images you can see
here were created between August 2022 and today. Some of them are focused on
combinations of my thoughts on transhumanism, but they also contain other life
topics.
Life is a closed labyrinth with many intertwining corridors and roads, but all roads
converge at the first and last point. The beginning flows into the end and the end
into the beginning. That is if we consider the beginning of life to be physical birth. -
The arrival of the soul in its body, already assigned before birth, on earth, and
death is the departure of the soul from the body and the return to another
dimension from which it already came or a new one. When we are in this world,
everything goes in a certain direction, which is actually aimed basically at keeping
the individual in his bulletproof vest. Everything in the world is in the system,
there is nothing outside of it. Even if we deviated from the artificially created
system, there would still be a natural system that would dictate a smaller system –
our body. Those two systems come down to the same thing, the satisfaction of
needs, only this one is artificially more comprehensive, and often very destructive.
Our body has its own needs to survive and function. He needs them so; food,
water, air, comfort, warmth, activity. The artificial system has a fixed form, it
guides the individual through the "correct life"; preschool, kindergarten, school,
college, work, family, retirement, until the final point of separation of the soul from
the body. Thus, the natural need of man was used to shape him as a part of the
whole society, one dictates the other - the next. Therefore, life in itself, in its
movement from one need to another, has no meaning. Most people spend most of
their lives in search of money, and those who have higher goals strive to achieve
them. The question is why all this? If the goal of work is survival and enjoyment,
and the goal of greater knowledge is some achievement, that achievement
disappears again with the collapse of all that is material. There are wars, floods,
fires, earthquakes...civilizations disappear...works are destroyed, everything
material can disappear in an instant. The only thing that lasts longer are scientific
discoveries, but they too are destroyed in the event of the disappearance of
civilizations. So why all that?
Constant chasing, constant chasing, moving from event to event, and everything
eventually disappears. One understanding is that we should have goals in life, fight
for them, enjoy every moment, be grateful for what we have, and not suffer for
something we don't have and can't have. Yes, that understanding is a way to
believe that life in the body has meaning and that meaning should be fought for.
But again the end result is exactly the same... Everything we create is perishable
just like our body. Death remains...passing or returning to another dimension.
Although the meaning is the same, that theory is also the most functional from a
practical point of view, because we have to live, and yet it is better to create at
least some point of living, if nothing else then at least to spend it. time on the
ground as comfortably as possible. We are not the creators of life itself and we
cannot destroy it. We can separate from the body as a mechanical armor in which
we are placed, but that does not mean that we stop living. And separating from
this worldly armor is not easy, nor is it good to be outside of a certain time. The
soul is placed in him and merged with him. He learns through him, so life on earth
is only one of the schools of the soul.
We are living in a transit period that is leading us to a new world quite different
from the present one. The technological and scientific progress of mankind has the
function of creation, the human body needs to be assigned a newer version:
artificial limbs sensitive to touch, chips that improve the condition of the
organism, and enable the extension of life..., are just some of the transhumanist
aspirations to turn man into superhumans. At first glance, these aspirations may
seem humane and very useful, but if you look deeper into them, the person in
them loses his individuality, he becomes an impersonal being that can be
managed. The pictures are my subjective representation of the transition from the
world we know to that Brave New World. The entire concept and goal of the
exhibition is directed against Transhumanism. In the pictures are human-like
beings with artificial robotic parts, beings that are half-physical and are being
refined in the laboratory, combinations of people, animals and mechanical
elements, beings that have become aware of the state in which they are, insects or
birds like symbols. Each work has its own meaning and story that goes with it, a
detailed description. The goal of the exhibition is to make people aware and point
out the negative aspects of changes that aim to turn people into automatic
mechanical beings without their own will. It is possible for such a being, in all its
changes, to begin to be born with some physically stunted functions, which will be
normal because it will no longer need them.
