Alexander Yanin (1958 - present) is a Russian artist who works in a very original style, which he calls "Yanin". However, art critics classify his paintings as naive art, but a very unique naive that cannot be confused with any other. They are kind and at the same time ironic, reminiscent of peculiar sketches from our lives.
A moment without ranks
Sharik is back
Some of his paintings contain elements of a good fairy tale, like angels flying through the sky, others are more realistic, but the artist does not forget to add a few touches that allow his characters to soar above the dull everyday life, like, for example, a utility worker sniffing a rose flower with pleasure.
Life is beautiful
Thirst
Tell me, this doesn't happen in real life, and all this seems too far-fetched and optimistic. But this is Yanin's style and his view of the world. Although he sometimes wears rose-colored glasses while creating his paintings, there is a deep meaning in this: there is already too much bad in our lives, and art, in the artist's opinion, should become an outlet from everyday troubles, showing how it should be, and not how it really is.

Stop for a moment, you are wonderful
The subjects of his paintings are simple and down-to-earth, but not without originality. The artist focuses on some details that are not immediately obvious, which are often revealed through the title of the painting.
Oncoming lane
Palm Sunday
By the way, unlike any monotonous landscapes or images of pretty girls, the title of Yanin's paintings plays no less a role than what is painted on them. It often determines the meaning of the painting, and carries an ironic connotation, especially in the context of the existing image.
There is still more to come

Forbidden Love
That's why at first I had to create “on the table”, nobody was interested in Yanin's artwork, they weren't even allowed to exhibit it. But everything changed in the 90s. Negativity and blackness at that time was enough, and people wanted to see something light and joyful at least in the paintings. Therefore, they were taken apart. The artist began to participate in various exhibitions, at first regional, and then all-Russian level.

Yanin became a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the International Association of Fine Arts AIAP UNESCO. In the 2000s he held personal exhibitions in Istanbul, Rostov-on-Don and Pyatigorsk. At the Istanbul exhibition, one of his paintings caught the eye of Nicole Kidman, who bought it, giving the artist good publicity at the same time.
Every hunter wants to know
She loved to fly at night.
Yanin's paintings are in museums and many private collections. In general, all the components of a successful and recognized artist are present. But the main thing is that Yanin was always true to himself and his style, did not try to exchange for the sake of political conjuncture or adapt to someone's tastes. Yanin's work is so original that it is impossible to confuse it with the works of other artists, and this is one of the main indicators of skill and talent, the ability to bring something new to painting.
Vapour and viciousness
Many of his paintings are little stories and reflect a unique philosophical view of the world - it is no coincidence that Yanin also studied philosophy. His heroes are not always "winners in life", but this does not prevent them from loving, being interested in creativity and simply enjoying some small things, which together, according to the artist, make up the main meaning of human existence.
