Let's cure autumn moping with cheerful and optimistic cartoons by Olga Gromova.

In autumn, the weather, to put it mildly, does not make us happy, and the best remedy for autumn moping is good humor, such as the cartoons of the wonderful artist Olga Gromova. She is a native of Kaluga, graduated from the Moscow Art School named after Kalinin and now lives in Moscow. Kalinin and now lives in Moscow, illustrates children's books, cooperates with various magazines and newspapers, paints oil paintings, draws postcards and witty cartoons - in general, a real multi-tasker, an artist who can work in almost any genre and does it really talented.

Her creative style is soft, not aggressive, her cartoons are somewhat reminiscent of children's drawings - rounded, smooth lines and generally cute characters, even if the artist herself tries to point out their flaws. There is no gloom and blackness, as in some artworks by Vasily Lozhkin or Vasily Shulzhenko, but at the same time they do not resemble “honey and molasses” - they are quite sharp cartoons that mock our officials, among others.

A meeting between a representative of the city authorities and the residents of the neighborhood

For example, a very severe lady who is immensely proud of her status. And this meeting reminds already something distant - so peasants went to bow to the barin to seek the truth, and in Soviet times authorized comrades held purely formal meetings with the “working people”, when everyone was in agreement with everything, and any dissatisfied quietly shut up in a rag. And nothing has changed, still the problems of ordinary people seem small and insignificant to the burly representative of power, not worth her precious attention.

Tea time

In our polyclinics they have introduced recording and electronic queues, but there is still the same old people, for whom tea time is a sacred ritual that cannot be missed.

Beauty blogger

How about the cartoon Beauty Blogger, where Gromova made fun of women's irrepressible desire to look prettier than they really are. And even the venerable age is not an obstacle to it.

Gloomy Autumn

A wonderful cartoon that clearly shows that autumn is in the soul, even at this time of year you can remain optimistic, and you don't have to be more than five years old.

Olga Gromova also makes fun of family relations, but this is not a harsh satire, but good-natured humor, as in the very popular cartoon “Bedtime Reading”.

Bedtime reading

Parodies and the widespread craze for online dating, logically noting that the picture can be put any, and under the guise of a femme fatale blonde may well be a battered lady of balsamic age.

Networking

But this is real life and real people who are just playing a beautiful virtual life, like computer games. And communication is likely to be limited to correspondence only, as no one wants to be disappointed.

Zoo

And sometimes Gromova's humor comes with a little moral that makes us think about our behavior. And clearly the orangutan in this cartoon looks the smartest of all.

But it's usually just a laugh without a lot of fancy footwork. By the way, many of Gromova's characters are people of advanced age, and there is even a whole series of her cartoons “Instagramming Grandmothers”, about grandmothers who have transferred their irrepressible energy from ordinary life to virtual life. There they can still shake their old age and give a head start to the youth, there is no need to think about age, and you can always hide under a beautiful avatar.

Fatal passion

But even in ordinary life, Gromova's grandmothers are not bad, they read love novels, and to make the picture especially clear, they do not mind eating a fly agaric. There is also a cartoon on the same theme - and it immediately becomes clear that one should be more careful with mushrooms.

Strange mushrooms

And finally, a picture of a hapless policeman hopelessly trying to hide behind a lamppost. “Say, uncle, it's not for nothing that you've been sitting here with your radar since this morning.”

At the post

But even this character of Gromova turned out charming, as if from a children's cartoon, it feels that he is still a kind person, just he wants to eat well every day. This is not a malicious mockery, but a good-natured irony, like all cartoons by this outstanding artist.
